Cathedral thinking and the slow work of building Socialheads
Reflections on building something meaningful over time, inspired by cathedral builders who worked on projects they knew would outlive them.
Co-designed with young people and care professionals. Familiar to use, with group chats, video calls and safeguarding features that make support accessible, safe and inclusive.
See how Socialheads helps care teams like yours communicate safely and effectively with young people
Right now, a young person might be supported and bullied on the same app. In the real world, we wouldn’t offer care in the same room where harm took place. Digital spaces should not be any different.
Care teams work hard to provide meaningful support - that level of care deserves to be properly evidenced. Socialheads keeps a clear, secure record of messages and actions so you’re always inspection ready, without the stress.
Invite support staff to group chats, message young people directly or have a video call. You are always in full control.
Security is built-in by design and we provide features for easy governance.
Our platform undergoes continuous development to maintain the highest safeguarding standards and ensure compliance with regulations.
We provide comprehensive training and ongoing support to organisations and their teams, enabling practitioners to focus on delivering impactful care.

improving engagement with young people would significantly improve the outcome of their care.
This app could be transformational for improving accessibility. The enhanced communication and engagement features help young people stay connected, while the appointment management with automated reminders reduces missed appointments and ensures consistency in support.
I'm particularly impressed by the dashboard that tracks engagement frequency, case progression, and support outcomes. These metrics provide valuable insights for social workers and help inform decisions on resource allocation and identify emerging needs.
Lindsay Lawton
Head of ServicesWe need a safe way for staff to communicate with young people. Right now it's unsafe and unclear. An app where all conversations are recorded means we can monitor and safeguard properly.

Children's Care Home Manager, LondonJeremy's journey is incredible. I really admire his passion and commitment. At our mental health service, we use generic messaging apps to communicate with young people, but I've never liked it. I've always wanted an alternative, and this could be it.

Mental Health Service, Catch22, LondonThis is literally answering every question that we would have anyway about consent, safeguarding and risk assessment. That's already built into the app itself. That's mega. Really, really exciting.

Professional, Statutory and Regulatory Body for youth workI’m feeling like we’re at the beginning of something that could be very big. Youth workers have been extremely against using digital youth work, but you've literally solved that. This will open up a lot of doors.
