Set up for how
your service works
We set Socialheads up with you, around the processes you already run, so it fits your ways of working from day one.
As simple or as full as you choose
Every service runs its own way, so every Socialheads service is set up its own way. Here is the same product, three ways.
A careful start
Messaging on its own. Workers talk to the people assigned to them, file sharing is off, and group chats are off. Everything is still evidenced in a log your managers can read, with the safeguarding controls already switched on.
Opening up
Ready for more? Switch on images, documents or both, and group chats where they help. Change it when your own guidance is ready.
The full picture
Everything on, guidance for young people built in, and several services under one organisation, each set up on its own terms.
What your service decides
These are yours to set at the start and change as your policies develop. Every change is recorded.
Files and images, your call
Decide what can be shared in chat: everything, images only, documents only, or switched off. Start closed and open it up once your own guidance is ready.
Your titles, your terms
Choose the titles your service uses, worker, key worker or personal adviser, and how the people you support are referred to, children or young people for example. Need it in another language, Welsh or Arabic for instance? That is something we arrange with you, service by service.
Who can talk to whom
By default, workers chat with the people assigned to them. Widen it to everyone at the service only if that is how you work. Group chats can be switched off entirely.
Permissions start closed
Inviting, reassigning, correcting contact details: each is off until your service turns it on, and every change is recorded. Retention follows the periods agreed with your service.
Guidance that lives in their pocket
If you want it, your service can give every young person its own support section inside the app: a welcome pack, their rights to housing and advocacy, who to call, what happens next. We provide the structure, the tools and the support. Your service writes the words, keeps them current, and they sit in the young person's pocket whenever they open the app.
The difference is what a worker sends. Instead of attaching a PDF that is out of date by the next review, they send one message that links straight to the right page. When your process changes, you update it once and everyone has the current version. It is entirely optional, and it is switched on only when your service asks for it.
Whatever your service supports people through, the words are yours: entering care, leaving care, a mental health service, supported housing.
One organisation, many services
Sign up as an organisation and run each of your services in its own space: its own team, its own settings, its own vocabulary. A through care team and a residential home can sit side by side, each working its own way, with one place for the organisation to stand behind all of it.
And more on the way
The product keeps growing, and new capability never switches itself on for your service. Anything that widens what you provide arrives off; rights for the people you support, like asking for a copy of their own messages, arrive on. Some services weigh each change first. Others tell us once to keep them current, and we switch things on for them as they arrive. Either way you know what changed, and what your service provides stays your decision.
Tell us how your service runs, and we will set it up that way with you. What happens next, and what we need from you, is on get started.
